Three ingredients. Three countries. This is our “Fennel Anise Elixir”. Fennel and anise come from Egypt and Turkey. The caraway comes from Finland. All three grow in fields. Fennel is mainly found in Mediterranean areas. It needs warm, nutrient-rich soil. Harvest time is the end of September. The seeds go into the tea. To do this, the cones are dried upside down. Anise originally comes from the eastern Mediterranean. Türkiye, Spain, Hungary, Lebanon and Egypt. It is now mainly grown there. You also need the seeds of aniseed for tea. Cut the umbels, dry them, collect the seeds. This is what his harvest looks like in early fall. And the caraway. It comes from the Near East and the Mediterranean countries. However, it is now cultivated as far away as Europe and Siberia. It needs loamy, sandy soils. The Finnish caraway is of first-class quality. That's why it goes into our tea.
