Product information "Lungo Intenso"
This Lungo is, as its name suggests, very intense and powerful.Characteristic of this combination of Indian Robusta and Indonesian Arabica is the strongly spicy taste,
which harmonizes with the notes of dark nougat and licorice.Its strong character is further underlined by a particularly long, dark roasting process using the drum process.The Lungo Intenso is ideal for coffee creations with (vegetable) milk.
Wet-hulled process
Our coffee from Indonesia is prepared using the traditional “wet-hulled” process.It works as follows:
1. Ripe coffee cherries are washed and peeled mechanically.
2. Fermentation in closed containers.
3. Wash again.
4. Drying the clean parchment coffee to approximately 30% moisture.
5. Parchment skin is removed mechanically.
6. Green coffee that is still wet is dried (to approx. 12% moisture).
Since the climate on Sumatra in Indonesia is very humid, the parchment layer is removed early so that the coffee can dry more quickly.This processing in combination with the Indonesian
terroir creates the typical “Sumatra Wet-Hulled” taste: spicy and earthy notes with a lot of body and reduced acidity.This coffee is a perfect component in our Lungo Intenso.
